The front wheels of a locomotive derailed in a Waukegan rail yard and that has caused delays for other trains.
Metra was still reporting major delays for inbound and outbound trains on the Union Pacific North Line and they weren't sure Friday morning when there would be normal operations.
Metra suggested passengers should take the Metra Milwaukee District North Line instead.
There is no word yet on what caused the derailment.
