They say the space in the 500 block of W. Cermak will be used for meetings and other activities, but not as a place to sleep or as a starting point for rallies.
Occupy Chicago organizers say they need the indoor location mostly because of the winter weather.
"Having a warm, indoor space will facilitate more effective organizing and coordinating of bigger events, as well as broader public outreach," said Occupy Chicago's Zoe Sigman.
They are planning more Occupy Chicago events in the spring, especially when NATO and the G8 summits are held in Chicago in May.
