Man charged in Bucktown sex assault

An assistant college soccer coach is being held Sunday night on $750,000 bond for the alleged sexual assault of a woman the Bucktown neighborhood.

Twenty-five-year-old Michael Giffin is charged with one count each of aggravated criminal sexual assault and unlawful restraint.

Police arrested him after responding to a call for help on the 2300 block of W. Saint Paul early Saturday morning.

The victim in the alleged attack remains hospitalized.

Giffin is an assistant soccer coach at UIC.
