The Chicago group held what it called a solidarity march Sunday night at Jackson and LaSalle.
Representatives said there were similar actions in other cities. In Oakland Saturday, a rally turned into a clash with police. Protestors threw rocks and police fired volleys of tear gas.
Some demonstrators broke into city hall causing significant damage. There were 400 arrests.
