Super Bowl Brews

Anthony Norkus, "Chicago Brewru" (Twitter: @ChicagoBrewru) and craft and specialty brands manager for Louis Glunz Beer, Inc. (link: www.GlunzBeers.com) brought a few select brews into our ABC7 studio, and he told us with which snacks these craft beer would best go.

Anthony Suggestions:

For Patriots Fans
Beer: Cisco Brewers (Massachusetts) Whale Tale Pale Ale
Amber English-style ale
Food: Cheese platter

For Giants Fans
Beer: Schmaltz Brewing (New York) Coney Island Lager
Mix of eight malts, six hops and Czech pilsner yeast
Food: Shrimp cocktail

For the Love of the Game (and Indiana!)
Beer: 3 Floyds (Indiana) Robert the Bruce Scottish Ale
Bold Scottish ale with a complex malty body derived from roasted and crystal malts balanced with just the right combination of hops; pours a deep ruby color, has a sweet malty nose with layered caramel and roasted notes and a full body.
Food: Hot Wings
Beer: Barley Island (Indiana) Dirty Helen Brown Ale
Medium-bodied brown ale with moderate hop bitterness; has a unique slightly nutty flavor in the finish; dry-hopped to enhance the hop aroma.
Food: Chocolately desserts

If you're tailgating and grilling out:
Beer: traditional Austrian Lager Stiegl Goldbrau
Out of a 5-liter can, of course.
Food: Brat
