Bears rookie surprises teen with Super Bowl tickets

February 4, 2012 (CHICAGO)

Thomas created a foundation to help kids inspired by his brother who has autism.

Thomas met 14-year-old Anthony Grandberry, who lives with epilepsy, at an autograph signing session a year ago.

Thomas stopped by Grandberry's church Saturday to hand deliver tickets to Sunday's Super Bowl.

"I know how important it is for special needs children to have the support that they need, to feel like a normal child, to feel, be able to do the things that everybody else does," Thomas said. "So, it really meant more to me than anything in the world to drive all the way up here to surprise Anthony with tickets to this year's super bowl."

Grandberry also received $1,000 scholarship to attend summer camp.
