Victims ID'd in 3 fatal Sunday crashes

One person was killed and two others hurt in a crash along I-57 near 111th Street shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday. The northbound lanes of I-57 were closed for several hours while the scene was cleared. Trineah L. Robertson, 25, of Joliet, was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center at 3:55 p.m. Sunday.

A 24-year-old woman was killed when she lost control of her car and struck a tree along Lake Shore Drive near 29th Street early Sunday. Police say a passenger in the car, a 25-year-old man, was critically injured. Keisha Mitchell, of Chicago, was headed south on the road that goes alongside Lake Michigan around 5 a.m. A witness told police that that woman's car went across four lanes before striking a tree. She was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

In a third crash, Illinois State Police say one man died and another person was critically hurt in a crash at I-290 and Austin. The vehicle had just exited the Eisenhower Expressway when it hit a wall. Both victims were taken to Loyola University Medical Center. Robert Grimes III, 25, of Chicago, was pronounced dead at 3:08 a.m. Sunday.
