Last October, the Chicago Tribune wrote about Officer Gildaro Sierra after he allegedly shot three men, two fatally, in separate incidents in a six-month period.
Last June in the Englewood neighborhood, Officer Sierra fatally shot Flint Farmer. Farmer was unarmed. His girlfriend has now filed a federal lawsuit.
Superintendent Garry McCarthy made comments to the Tribune that the officer involved shouldn't have been on the street given his history of shootings.
