Honoring Women of Concern

February 18, 2012 10:16:40 AM PST
"Concern Worldwide" is a non-governmental, international humanitarian organization that works to end suffering in the world's poorest countries.

On Friday, February 24, the "Women of Concern Luncheon" (link: http://www.concernusa.org/Public/Events/WomenofConcernChicago.aspx) will honor two women here in Chicago for their displays of justice, generosity and compassion in their work and lives.

ABC7's Kathy Brock will emcee the luncheon. Carol Deely, chair of the event, and Dolores Connelly, a board member for Concern USA and the chair of the host committee for the WOC luncheon, joined us in our ABC7 studio to talk about the event and the organization's mission.
