Congrats to our winners -- Marist High School!
Marist won with 46 percent of the vote. Sandburg finished a close second place with 34 percent. Thanks so much to all of the teams who participated.
Backstory:
Four area schools competed in this competition.
This worked a lot like our Show Choir Showdown where we had four area show choirs perform live for you. And you'll remember our Dance Team Dance Off in November when tens of thousands of you voted online.
Now, it's cheer squads from four schools that did really well in state competitions.
We were out live at all of the schools to talk to the teams and coaches and bring you the live performances.
We started things off Tuesday morning live from Conant High School in Hoffman Estates, where the cheer squad there was the first to perform.
Then on Wednesday, we headed to Kenwood Academy in Chicago where the students there showed off their best moves.
Thursday, it was Marist High School, also in Chicago, for day three of our competition.
And Monday, we wrapped things up with our final live performance from Sandburg High School in Orland Park.
And the winning team got a great trophy from our friends at B. Gunther and Company out in Lisle.
