Dozens of young girls in the city's Chatham neighborhood got the chance to meet one of the very first African American Girl Scouts this weekend.

As part of a celebration of the 100th anniversary of Girl Scouts and Black History Month, Barbara

Wilbourne shared her experiences with the girls.

Former U.S. Sen. Carol Mosely Braun was also at St. Mark United Methodist Church.

Wilbourne, who's in her '80s, was a member of the first documented African American girl scout troop in Savannah, Georgia, the birthplace of Girl Scouts.
