There were two more teenagers that were shot. They were taken to another hospital in fair to serious condition. So far, police say they do not have a motive, nor have they caught the shooter.
The latest violence happened just before 7 o'clock Sunday night. Police say the shooter was in a car traveling eastbound on 79th when the person opened fire toward people near a liquor store.
One witness described hearing seven or eight shots, then a pause, and then three more.
Two people died on the scene, one was found outside the store, another inside. Witnesses believe the victim inside was a teenager. The man outside was apparently in his 60s and was well-known in the neighborhood.
"He never bother anyone," said witness Dante Wilson. "He's a good person. He would help you if he can. Oh man, he did handiwork around for a lot of the landlords in the area, so that's the type of guy he was."
"Next thing you know, just rolled up and they start shooting," said Jean Richards, "The people they were shooting at didn't even get hit. It's always the innocent ones. Always."
So far, the names of the victims have not been released. While witnesses say they were not the intended targets, police will not confirm at this point whether they were innocent or not.
