The autopsy technician was reportedly facing disciplinary action stemming from recent investigations of bodies piling up and reports of unhealthy working conditions at the morgue.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, 58-year-old Joel Neason is charged with simple battery, which is a misdemeanor.
Neason reportedly is one of three staffers informed they are facing discipline in the wake of the investigation into conditions at the morgue.
