1 injured in Uptown fire

Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a fire that broke out early Wednesday morning in an Uptown apartment building.

The fire broke out at about 3:15 a.m. in a hallway of a building in the 4400 block of North Sheridan Road. The fire was contained to the seventh floor.

A 29-year-old man was hospitalized with a cut to his hand, but no other injuries were reported.

It's not yet clear how many residents were displaced as a result of the fire.
