Band's van with instruments inside stolen

February 24, 2012 (CHICAGO)

The group Carbon Tigers is using borrowed instruments.

After a performance Sunday, band members parked their van on North Dover. On Thursday, the group discovered it was stolen along with their instruments that were stored inside including a custom drum set and guitars.

The van and equipment combined are worth about $30,000.

"Something was like taken from us," said band member Aaron Sweatt. "And who knows if we'll ever get it back you know. It's something that we've worked for, I know for me, the past 10 years."

Sweatt says the van was a dark green dodge ram wagon with Illinois license plate L669821. He thinks it was stolen early Thursday.
