Chocolate French Toast

Add to a small pot over low heat:
1/4 cup cream
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch kosher salt
Bring to simmer
Simmering cream mixture is then poured over 1/2 cup chopped chocolate allowed to sit until chocolate is melted, about 5 minutes

Add to greased 9x5-inch baking dish:
6 slices white bread, crusts removed and cut into triangles
Overlap slices slightly in baking dish

Add to cream mixture with melted chocolate:
2 eggs
Whisk until well combined.

Pour over bread:
Cream mixture
Push bread down to coat completely says to make sure to cover the edges.

Bake at 375 degrees F until the custard sets and the bread turns golden at the edges, about 30 minutes.

Place on plates:
Servings of finished chocolate French toast
Dollops of whipped cream.
