St. Patrick's Day celebrations under way

The St. Patrick's Day celebrations kicked off early Friday in Chicago.

The Trinity Irish Dancers surprised people on State St. with a so-called pop-up performance.

Animals at the Brookfield Zoo are feasting on Irish treats.

You won't find green eggs and ham at Bruegger's Bagels in Oak Park, but green bagels are on the menu.

And the Irish Fellowship Club of Chicago held its annual St Patrick's Day dinner tonight. The guest of honor was Ireland's Prime Minister Enda Kenny, who is marching in Saturday's St. Patrick's Day Parade which steps off on Balboa Dr. at noon.

You can watch the celebration here on ABC-7 at 11:30 tomorrow night.

The parade will also be available on demand at
