CPS calendar change would add class time

Chicago Public School officials want to change the calendar to increase classroom time.

One example calls for making both Pulaski Day and Columbus Day into full instructional days.

The proposal would also have students in class on two report card pickup days.

CPS said the changes would result in a net increase of 10 school days.
