Officer found not guilty for alleged incident

A south suburban police officer has been found not guilty of brutality against a teenager.

Calumet Park police officer Lynell Porch was facing aggravated battery and other charges for allegedly tripping a teenager and then grabbing him by the throat.

The alleged incident happened in June 2010 and left the plaintiff with facial injuries.

Today's 'not guilty' decision was rendered by Judge James Linn in a bench trial.
