Pfleger leads service dedicated to Trayvon Martin

March 25, 2012 (CHICAGO)

Father Michael Pfleger also wore a hooded sweatshirt as he spoke about the teen's death during his mass.

Martin was wearing a hoodie when he was fatally shot on Feb. 26 by a neighborhood watch captain. George Zimmerman has not been charged. His lawyer said he believes the shooting falls under Florida's "Stand Your Ground Law," which says a person can meet force with force if attacked.

"Let that be the spark that ignites us to say around this country we're not going to tolerate violence and the murder of our children anymore," Pfleger said. "We're not going to tolerate it."

Said Mack Julion Jr. "I've been stereotyped, I've been called a threat just because of the attire that I wear and so I do feel this is an issue that I had to stand firm on."

Ondelee Perteet was also there. The Chicago teen was left paralyzed after a shooting in 2009.
