Ford Focus recall due to windshield wiper problem

April 9, 2012

In certain 2012 models, a seal in the connector to the motor of the windshield wiper may be missing. This is only on the passenger side.

Ford's website says water or other contaminants could accumulate in the connector, causing the wiper to stop working. That results in reduced visibility and increasing the risk of a crash.

No accidents or injuries have been reported.

Ford will notify owners about the problem and what to do next.
