Dr. Lauren Streicher is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern University's medical school, The Feinberg School of Medicine, in Chicago. Considered a thought leader in her field, Dr. Streicher has appeared in numerous national and local media outlets discussing all aspects of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She was a member of the WBBM Health Team with weekly appearances and has appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show, The McNeil Lehrer Hour, ABC News Now, 20/20, and World News Tonight. She hosted The Answered Patient Series and appeared weekly on NBC's In The Loop with iVillage. She also hosted "Advances in Women's Health", on Reach MD XM 24, the station for medical professionals. Dr. Streicher is a Fellow in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a member of the Association for Gynecologic Laparoscopy, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopic Surgeons and a member of The North American Menopause Society. Her clinical interests include all aspects of gynecology but Dr. Streicher has a particular interest and expertise in menopause, minimally invasive surgery, laparoscopic hysterectomy, and alternatives to hysterectomy.
