Chicago firefighters responded to Luther Burbank Elementary School on the 2000-block of North Mobile.
There were reports of a chemical odor in the air at the school.
Emergency responders checked out several students, but there are no reports of any serious injuries. School is still in session, but parents who want to pick up their children early are being allowed to do that.
