The CTA opened its first new rail station in nearly two decades Monday morning.

The Yellow Line now has a new Oakton Avenue station in northwest suburban Skokie.

The new "L" station cost $20 million to build. The modern features include an elevator for passengers with wheelchairs.

CTA President Forest Claypool was joined by Skokie Mayor George van and Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky Monday.
