Another reason to get a mammogram every year

A new study finds women at high risk of getting breast cancer can benefit from annual mammograms starting at 40.

Recommendations about screening have varied in recent years.

Research from two studies find that the positive outcome of regular mammograms outweigh risks for some patients.

Some medical groups have recommended screenings every two years for women between 50 and 74.

This new research is published in the Annals of Internal Medicine.
