Five hundred employees who work for the University of Illinois at Chicago could go on strike.

The workers include nurses, social workers and medical technicians who are members of the Service Employees International Union Local 73. On Monday and Tuesday they'll vote on whether or not the union can launch a work stoppage.

A union spokesperson says wages are one of the issues holding up talks.
