Commute length correlated with obesity

That's the finding of a new study in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine.

Researchers found those who drove longer distances to work had larger waist circumferences, lower cardiovascular fitness levels, higher blood pressure and higher body mass index.

Also, long commuters reported going to the gym or getting exercise less often than people who drove shorter distances to work.
