'Sober pill' might prevent people from getting drunk

There is a pill for almost everything these days, and there could soon be one for sobriety.

Researchers at Yale say the drug iomazenil could help prevent people from getting intoxicated, no matter how much alcohol they drink.

In the pilot study, people who took the drug before drinking alcohol were able to stay sober longer.

Doctors hope this development could eventually help in the treatment of alcoholism and also reduce the number of drunk-driving crashes.
