At least a dozen vendors and farmers from around the area set up tables at the plaza to sell their products to Chicagoans on Thursday. The warm Chicago weather, unusual for the first farmers market of the year, brought out a big crowed for opening day.
Eager customers were greeted by farmers excited to show off and sell their produce. Venders sold a variety of items, including flowers, honey, chocolates and baked goods-- and even bath products for dogs.
The market runs from May through October. To view the schedule for the Farmers Market, or find a market closer to home, visit ABC7's Farmers Market Guide .
