Girl, 6, struck by cop car in good condition

A 6-year-old girl was struck by a Chicago police squad car as it was responding to a shooting.

The incident happened around 5 p.m. Saturday.

Officials said the officers were chasing two suspects who reportedly shot a 30-year-old man in the 5400-block of South Laflin Street.

They followed the suspects to the 5200-block of South Peoria Street and that's when the child was struck.

The girl was taken to a hospital and is reportedly in good condition.

Police are still searching for the suspects.
