John Hurt of 601 Westworth was charged with first degree murder and concealment of a homicidal death.
The Lake County Indiana Coroner's Office identified the remains as those of 16-year-old Jessica Tetter of Calumet City, who died of trauma to the head and body.
Tetter reported her missing on Wednesday.
Hurt was charged Sunday morning at the Cook County courthouse in Markham.
