The week begins with Spinning Alfresco, presented by CityTarget in Millennium Park at Cloud Gate. The FREE outdoor spin classes will be held Monday, June 11-Thursday, June 14 with two classes each morning at 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. All fitness levels are welcome.

Also on Monday, June 11 join other cyclists for Bike Shorts, a collection of short bicycle films from around the world, at the Goose Island Brewpub, 1800 N. Clybourn at 6:00 p.m. The screening is presented by the Chicago Bicycle Film Festival and Goose Island Beer Company.

Grab your friends and family and head to Millennium Park for the Bike Chicago Movie in the Park beginning at dusk on Tuesday, June 12. Enjoy an evening on the Great Lawn featuring the American Classic Pee-Wee's Big Adventure. The hit 1985 comedy follows Pee-wee Herman as he embarks on a nation-wide quest to rescue his beloved, stolen bike.

Take a lunch break with the Chicago Department of Transportation's and hear about the City's exciting Streets for Cycling 2020 plan on Wednesday, June 13. The lecture begins at noon at the Chicago Cultural Center in the Claudia Cassidy Theater. Highlights include new protected bike lanes, bike sharing and much more.

Thursday, June 14 - Loop Bike Tour On Thursday, June 14, join us for a free two hour Loop Bike Tour led by Lee Diamond of Chicago Neighborhood Bike Tours. The ride will leave from Buckingham Fountain at 6:30 p.m. Pre-registration is required as the ride limited to 150 participants. Visit www.bikechicago.us for registration and event details.

The Bike to Work Rally is the big event on Friday, June 15 at Daley Plaza beginning at 7:30 a.m. Ditch the car and choose the economic and healthy alternative by becoming a bike commuter. Join fellow cyclists, local media, cycling groups, Goose Island Beer Company and the City of Chicago on Daley Plaza (Washington and Dearborn Streets). All cyclists will receive a FREE T-shirt, breakfast and bike parking at the Sierra Mist Free Bike Valet.
