Retail study: Walmart has bigger deals than Amazon

A study done by retail research firm Kantar Retail finds that Wal-Mart has bigger deals than online giant Amazon.

The agency compared prices on a wide range of 36 items and found that on average they were 20 percent more expensive at Amazon than at Wal-Mart.

On goods such as food, the research firm found Amazon's prices were almost 60 percent more, though they did find some items cheaper on Amazon.

The study was done after researchers found a big jump of Wal-Marts core shoppers were moving to shopping on the web.
