There are new concerns that the drug Propecia, commonly used to treat male pattern baldness, may be causing permanent sexual dysfunction.

Propecia has been known to cause adverse side effects, but it was believed once a man got off the drug the side effects would go away.

A new study found 96 percent of men who complained of problems continued to have sexual side effects.

George Washington University researchers also found men who used Propecia for at least three months were less than 5 percent likely to recover sexual function within 14 months.
