The ex-teacher, Dale Fry, was convicted last year of criminal sexual assault and aggravated sexual abuse.
Oswego police say a girl told them Fry had had sexual contact with her several times after school. The literature and English teacher was placed on leave and later resigned.
After he serves his sentence, he will have to register as a sex offender.
