Summer Dance - Grant Park

Line dance lessons (6 - 7PM)

Born and reared in small town Toledo, Ohio the Thomas Twins have always shared a passion for dance. At a young age they enjoyed tap, jazz and ballet lessons. Their love of dance continued through grammar and high school as members of the cheerleading squad and captains of the dance team. Now residing in Chicago, IL, they have entered into a hot, new dance craze - Line Dancing!

They not only teach but choreograph their own line dances: Rock My World, Old School, Rock Your Body, Double Trouble and Juke Sumthin, to name a few.

In 2010 and again in 2012, The Thomas Twins participated in teaching line dancing at the Hands Together Heart to Art summer day camp at Roosevelt University for children ages 7-14 who have experienced the death of the parent.

They also provided line dance instruction to ChildServ's GrandFamily support program - to both senior citizens and children and The Salvation Army.

In December of 2011, the Thomas Twins participated in a fundraiser for Project Hood (www.projecthood.org)) and New Beginnings Church of Chicago to raise funds for a new community center.

In January of 2012, they received a Trailblazer Award for their promotion of line dancing on Youtube. In July of 2012, the Thomas Twins instructed line dancing at the Taste of Chicago and will instruct at Summer Dance in August 2012.

The Thomas Twins currently teach line dancing on the south side of Chicago and look to expand to other locations in the Chicago-land area.
