Bidding starts on ex-comptroller's motor home

The U.S. Marshals Service is accepting bids on a luxury motor home that belonged to Rita Crundwell. The 59-year-old Dixon resident is accused of misappropriating more than $53 million since 1990 to help support a lavish lifestyle and her nationally renowned horse breeding operation. Bidding for the 2009 Liberty Coach Motor Home starts at $1 million and continues until August 1, 2012. If Crundwell is found guilty, net proceeds from the sales will go toward restitution for the city of Dixon.
