Building collapses on Far South Side, 1 hurt

It happened on the 300-block of East Kensington on the Far South Side Monday morning.

Two men were working on the second floor of the building when the roof collapsed on them. One man escaped unhurt. The other was taken away by a rescue crew with what are reportedly non-life-threatening injuries.

The fire department says the building was being refurbished.

There is no word yet on what caused the collapse.
