July 20, 2012 (PRESS RELEASE)

Square Roots is not your ordinary street festival - we have craft brews with Chicago roots and musical acts that create a worldly experience for all!

We are excited to announce ten local breweries who will be serving exceptional beers at Square Roots, July 20 - 22. Two Brothers, Half Acre, Metropolitan, Finch's, 5 Rabbit, Greenbush, Vander Mill Cider, Hinterland, Founders and New Holland will allhave select brews available for the public to enjoy.

In addition to great craft beer, we are bringing more than 35 music, dance, and family acts. Music acts ranging from folk, indie rock and even Afro-Colombian rhythms. Artistsinclude: Garland Jeffreys, Sidi Tourè, Ezra Furman, Carpacho Super Combo, Orquesta El Macabeo, M.A.K.U. Soundsystem, Waco Brothers and AfriCaribe.

Square Roots may be a beer focused event, but we didn't forget about Chicago families! Kids, put on your dancing shoes for a mix of Story-time, Irish, Urban or Cuban dance lessons.
