The verdict was handed down Friday afternoon by a jury in McHenry County.
The girl first reported the assault to a school counselor. According to the Chicago Tribune, she later recanted and testified that the abuse did not happen.
But a doctor who examined the girl said she had wounds consistent with an assault.
Kasper faces up to 120 years in prison. He will be sentenced in September.
