FBI: Glendale Heights bank robbery linked to Stickney heist

July 27, 2012 (GLENDALE HEIGHTS, Ill.)

The Glendale Heights holdup occurred at approximately 12:45 p.m. at a TCF Bank branch at 2164 N. Bloomingdale Road. An FBI news release says the robber is believed to be the same one who struck a TCF Bank branch in Stickney June 11.

On Friday, the robber approached the teller, demanded cash in a note, and after receiving cash, left the bank on foot. The robber implied that he had a weapon, but he did not display one. No injuries were reported.

Witnesses said that the robber was a white man who wore a bright orange baseball cap with a Chicago Bears "C" logo on the front, eyeglasses, a white shirt and dark shorts.
