The trouble began early Saturday morning at a gas station located at Ontario and LaSalle.
Police say there was an altercation, one man ran away. He was pursued.
When it was over, two people were stabbed. A 20-year old died from stab wounds to the chest and a 17-year old was treated at northwestern memorial hospital and released.
There's no word of any arrests.
