Daily aspirin use may reduce long-term cancer mortality

Other studies have found that aspirin had no impact on cancer mortality; a new study in the "Journal of the National Cancer Institute" takes another look.

The authors say they found a reduction in cancer mortality with daily aspirin use.

Although the reduction is not as great as in some earlier studies, authors contend the results give additional support for the possible benefits of aspirin against cancer.
