The Chicago Tribune reported Saturday that among those hurt was an 18-year-old hit in the chest in a drive-by shooting in the Pilsen neighborhood.
He's in critical condition. Witnesses told police they heard the assailants shouting gang slogans.
Overnight shooting victims also included a man with a bag of money who thought he was meeting someone to buy a car.
Instead, two other people turned up with handguns. The 24-year-old dropped the bag of money, but the assailants shot him.
Another shooting targeted a 27-year-old who had been arrested 63 times. He was shot in the buttocks.
