Police were called to the 2200-block of Pennview Lane in Schaumburg overnight.
Officials say the group barricaded themselves after police attempted to enter the unit for a woman screaming for help. Officers tried forcing their way in, but the door was jammed with furniture stacked against it.
SWAT team members were finally able to make their way in and arrested the 19.
Police are still investigating what happened.
