Arson suspected in historic church fire

August 20, 2012 4:56:08 AM PDT
A church that is attached to a historic train station has been damaged in what may be an arson fire.

A restroom was the only part of the building that was affected, but the worship area had the odor of smoke so services were cancelled.

Bomb and arson detectives are investigating.

The church is connected to the union Pacific-Northwest Line's Norwood Park Depot.

The city's website says the station was built in 1907 and was designed by architects Charles Frost and Albert Granger.
