Orange juice prices may soon be going up.

Tropical storm Isaac is threatening to hit Florida and it could strengthen to a hurricane. That sent orange juice futures soaring by almost 6 percent Wednesday.

A shortage of citrus due to the storm would push up orange juice prices for consumers.

In 2005, Hurricane Wilma caused significant damage to Florida's citrus crops.
