Chicago volunteer headed to storm-ravaged Haiti

Chicago area resident Mark Dwyer is heading to Haiti, which was hit by tropical storm Isaac Saturday.

He works for a relief organization called Shelter Box which provides emergency supplies for places hit by natural disasters.

Dwyer will be part of an emergency response team that will assess the need for aid.

The organization has already shipped 448 boxes of supplies to Haiti.

They include items like tents, stoves and water filtration systems.
