Chicago police and a teenager exchanged gunfire Tuesday morning in the 8900 block of S. Union.

Officers say they were trying to question the teen when he apparently pointed a gun at officers, prompting them to fire and hit him.

The teen then fired at an officer, who was not hurt.

The teen, who is thought to be 17-years-old, is at an area hospital in unknown condition.

Police were involved in another shooting Tuesday morning at 74th and Wabash.

A man who allegedly threatened officers was wounded.
