The Food and Drug Administration is warning L'Oreal about advertisements for its skin care products.

The FDA says its Lancome skin-care ads make its anti-aging products sound like drugs. One ad claims some of its skin creams could quote "boost the activity of genes" and quote "stimulate cell regeneration."

L'Oreal has not commented.

The FDA says it could take action if L'Oreal fails to change its claims. L'Oreal is the world's largest cosmetics company.
